I posted a new "sorta" movie review, so check it out. I haven't been really posting on there for reasons previously mentioned, but I wasn't really getting a lot of feed back before that so I am in the process of deciding whether or not to keep the site. Opinions?

You Can Have It When You Pry It From My Sleeping, Death-Grip Hands
Boo was really sweet to me for Mothers Day, although we confused her a little bit by celebrating two holidays at once. She couldn't figure out what she was supposed to be saying; "Happy Mothers Day Mom" or "Happy Birthday Dad". Being Sunday, we went to church and at church for Mothers Day they gave all the moms roses. We got them after we had finished Relief Society, and because we are women, of course our class ran late so Bo and Boo were waiting outside the class room for me. I came out and this is the conversation that followed:
Boo: Mommy!
Me: Hey you.
Boo: (Eyeing the rose in my hand and with a look of amazement on her face) What is that?
Me: A flower.
Boo: (With a contemplating look) You got a flower at your class?...
Me: Yeah because I'm a mommy.
Boo: But, you got it at your class?
Me: Yeah... (Now understanding that she is thinking that she might've gone to the wrong class today and thinking if she can switch enrollment from nursery to Relief society)
Boo: Is it for me?
Me: No, they gave it to me for Mothers Day.
Boo: (Hearing her cue) HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOMMY!
Me: Thanks honey.
Boo: Is that flower for me?
Me: No...
Boo: You got that flower in your class? Is it for me?
Me: Yes and no, but you can hold it if you want to.
Boo: Okay....
*We proceed to the door to leave, and she must've already forgotten...
Boo: (telling someone standing at the door) Look at my flower I got! I LOVE my flower.
Me: Whatever...
I gave up thinking I was ever going to get my flower back. We have late church right now which makes it so Boo doesn't usually or ever get a nap on Sunday. I guess Mothers Day just wore her out because she fell asleep on the way home with the rose firmly grasp in her hand. Bo actually tried to pry it from her grip and she put up a fight in her sleep.

The Best Day Ever
Boo and I were coloring the other day together, she usually finished before I do, I guess I'm a slow colorist. Anyway, when I finally finished after she had bugged me about a hundred times to be done, she came over to inspect my finished product. Here's how it went:
Me: Hey, look! I'm done!
Boo: Oh, let me see...
Me: What do you think?
Boo: Is this for me?
Me: Sure...
Boo: Oh, thanks! You are my best friend ever!
Her picture, along with the one she got from me are now proudly hung on her wall at just her height. She admires them often. I didn't even know she knew the concept of a best friend, but apparently I'm her best friend EVER! I am the luckiest person in the world!!
Holiday Competition
We also had to share the holiday with my sister, yesterday she had her anniversary, Mothers Day and it was also her due date! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LAURA AND JOHN!! Hope the baby comes soon!! ☺
Also, Happy Mothers day to my own mother! You're a great mom, and I'm glad that you are mine!

Long overdue, here are the pictures from our trip up north a month ago. The slide show is of Boo riding a horse and then helping feed a calf. We always visit with "P" family when we go up north, and Boo just loves going there. She loves seeing their horses and helping feed them.
This is Bo filling up before we headed home. What a goof ball! That's why I love him.
We were greeted into Willcox as the sun set and I tied taking some pictures from the car. Car rides make for bumpy pictures. I thought this one turned out nice.
Zoo Trip
We went to the Tucson Zoo last week and had a blast! My friend Jordan had already been there so she knew the way around which made the trip much better. It's a smaller zoo so you are able to walk around the entire zoo in about an hour and a half. We took two strollers, I push the one with the 2 year olds and Jordan pushed her little one in the other. This made for an interesting ride around the zoo, the girls didn't want to stay on the stroller. They had a good time seeing all the animals. We will definitely be going back soon. Bo has never really been to the zoo before so Boo is very excited to plan a trip to take her daddy to the zoo. I picked a couple of my favorite pictures from the trip but then decided to just include them all in a slide show. Enjoy!
The first picture was one of the first animals we saw, it was a spectacle bear. It was just cute sitting there, taking it all in. And second, is of their usual stance when looking at the animals. Olivia is quite the climber so she was usually trying to scale the fence, Boo isn't as coordinated but tried her hardest to climb as high. The girls rode on the stroller but not like this, this was on our way out of the zoo and they were both wanting to sit in the front so we squeezed both of their bums into it.
This was at the entrance of the zoo, and the girls got a kick out of sitting on it. They had to take turns with who sat in front.
Jordan took this last picture and it turned out to be our favorite. I cropped it to try and fade the people out of the background. They were hugging at any chance they got, they are really great friends.
Here are the rest of the crazy pictures we took:

This and That and a Little of Another
I swear I didn't move to Denmark and change my name, I just haven't felt like blogging. And really, I have been blogging, at least as much as a normal person does, just not as much as I usually do in my blogging crazed world (I only have 8 posts in April, that compared to the 32 in March shows how much I really wasn't around the blog last month). We have had a couple crazy weeks and I do have pictures to post from those weeks, but I haven't gotten around to posting them. Here's a quick update on a couple of important things, until I feel up to blogging...
-I still have not posted pictures from our trip up north, that was nearly a month ago... It was a good trip, but I actually wasn't as crazy with my camera as usual. I did get some pretty cute pictures of Boo feeding a baby cow, so those will be up soon.
-Speaking of up north, we will be making another trip in a couple weeks. Bo's moms family is having a reunion that we are planning to attend. It's a good excuse to get out of town for a couple days and relax while visiting, and eating of course... Isn't that what always happens at reunions?
-We really have had a rough couple weeks but nothing compared to 3 weeks ago. I'll leave it at that, it was a really hard thing for us and I was planning on blogging about it, but I'm not quite over it yet. I know what you're thinking "Why post that when she wasn't even planning on telling us what she's talking about!" And you're right, lucky for you Bo wrote about it on his blog - Click here if your curiosity got the better of you...
-On a happier note, we went to the zoo this past week. My friend Jordan got a wild hair one day and decided to go to the zoo. Boo was more than happy to oblige. It was nice to get out of the house for the day and have fun and enjoy good company. It was slightly hotter than I would've liked but it's getting to be summer, but what was I really expecting?! Again, I took lots of pictures and I will post them. There are some really cute ones of her and Olivia. Jordan is much more on the ball than me and she already posted some, check them out here.
-The last two weekends have been spent slaving away in the backyard. It was very much over-run with weeds so we tried to get that taken care of. Last Saturday was a full day of just weeding the yard, and even after a long, sweat filled day today, it's still not where I would like it to be. We also got some pots and flowers to help make the yard look better. I got flowers, Bo got vegetables. He seems to want to get something out of his hard work, I on the other hand just want my yard to look nice. Boo has quite enjoyed our interest in the backyard, she follows us around copying everything we do. She's getting so big! I will post pictures when it's looking a little bit nicer...
That's about all the things I have to post about, but keep a watchful eye on our blog for these things and others to come. In the mean time, my sister has added a whole bunch of recipes to my recipe blog. Also if you want to be a contributor, let me know, we would love more input. I have some stuff to post on there, as well as a whole slew of movie reviews, so I'll post to let you know when I do that. Until then, be sure to see the recipes from my sister. Check them out!

Hair Cut Number Two
Lately I have had to wrestle with Boo to get her hair done everyday. Some days I just throw my hands up and say "to heck with it" and then she just gets it put in a pony tail without even brushing it. Brushing is the part she doesn't like, if it wasn't for that she would let me do her hair, no complaints. Because her hair is so long and thick (for a 2-year old), it get into everything. When she eats it gets dragged through her food, it makes its way into her mouth when ever she puts food in there, it's so long that she has taken to chewing on it for fun, and so with all these things combined her hair is frequently decorated with dried, gross food that it is hard to brush through. Who would really blame her for not wanting it brushed when it's crusted in yuck. This really makes me sound like a bad parent, you're thinking "Okay, just bathe her." and yeah, that helps but she pretty much gets a bath every day, so it must not be solving the problem. So in the end, I have finally gotten tired of the fight so I decided it was time for a hair cut. She hasn't had a hair cut, aside from her occasional trimming of her bangs, since she was 11 months old. That's a year and a half with no hair cut! Needless to say the ends of her hair weren't as healthy as they could've been - although I don't know if that from time or from her chewing. I went back in my archive of pictures to find some of her first hair cut. I found about 30 that were just too cute, I wanted to include them all but I narrowed it to just 9. Boo was born with a pretty good head of hair, but as it grew and fell out in places she ended up with these two really long pieces in the back. Everyone made fun of me for not cutting them, and looking back I really should have. I just had this goal in my mind to not cut her hair until she was one, I almost made it much to the dismay of everyone else including her daddy. Although when I did finally cut it I almost cried because she looked like a boy! I guess every girl has to go through that stage at least once in their life since we as girls aren't born with beautiful flowing locks. Here are a few before hair cut pictures: (If you click on them you can see the little tails in the back a little closer)
I found this picture and wanted to add it to my post about sleeping on the floor. She's really just a floor sleeper, is that a bad thing? Last night in fact, she hadn't had a nap that afternoon so at about 8:00 we started our bed time routine which lately she has been fighting tooth and nail, and she asked for some goldfish as a snack before bed - I obliged. She sat in her rocking chair and munch a few and after a few minutes she got off the chair and laid on the ground playing with the cracker she had in her hand. Within 5 minutes she was sound asleep. She didn't even stir when I picked her up to take her to her bed. What a crazy kid! I love her though.

Cowgirl? No?
Today after Boo's nap she woke up and wanted to wear her cowboy boots. So, she has been happily wearing them around the house. Bo just walked in from work and this was the conversation exchanged:
Bo: Hey there cutie!
Boo: Hi Daddy.
Bo: I see you are a little cowgirl today wearing your boots.
Boo: Daddy, I'm not a cowgirl, I'm a princess.
Bo: Okay then...
I guess she's learning young. Every little girl is a princess, right?

Sticker Fun
Boo loves stickers! Stickers are one of the main reasons we make it through church each week. Last night she found a couple sheets of stickers on the table and went to town. At first it was just on paper but then she found it fun to stick them on mom, dad and herself. I know, I know, the one of my nose looks like a green boogie!
Sleeping On The Floor
I don't understand why you would want to, but Boo has been more recently inclined to sleep on the floor. Since it's such a frequent occurrence to find her on the floor, we are more surprised when we find her in her bed when we go to tuck her in at night. Last night in fact, I was up reading before bed after Bo had gone to bed and I heard her shuffling in her bed. A few minutes later I heard little feet walking, I thought for sure those little feet would make their way into my room and into my bed. I then heard them disappear down the hall into the dark living room. I stayed in bed quietly trying to listen to what she was doing, I heard what I thought was her getting on the couch and then the noise just stopped. So I got out of bed and headed into the darkness that was the living room. I could hear her breathing and as my eyes adjusted to the light I could see her little body on the floor... asleep, and more than that she was already snoring. I'm not sure if she was awake or asleep when she walked down the hall. I guess we may have a sleep-walker in the family. This first picture is from last night, the others are from various other times we have found her asleep on the floor.
Where's Waldo
Bo went into to check on Boo while she was napping today and he thought he had walked into a "Where's Waldo" book. Where's Boo?

So a couple of random things to report... I finished Harry Potter 3 last night. Again, I really enjoyed it. The little detail that is added, makes the story feel more complete. I am a little nervous about approaching the rest of the books. I have never been much of a book reader, especially such long ones. The paperback copy we have of the 3rd book was just over 500 pages, that's probably the longest book I've ever read, sad I know. (That is, I've read the BOM, and I'm not sure how many pages that is, and it's probably more, but this book is a close second.) I am also a little worried about starting the 4th book because I enjoyed the first three so much as well as the first three movies that I hope to not be disappointed. The 4th movie was confusing, and it's probably because it's such a long book to fit into a movie. So hopefully I will enjoy it. Wish me luck on my reading, I'm still not sure I'll make it through such a long book...
Other news, we are finally "plug" free! Hooray!! Boo has now gone more than a week without a plug and has pretty much stopped asking for it. She goes to bed at night really well without it, but naps are a little harder. I convinced her that she was a big girl and that plugs are for babies. She finally saw the logic and agreed that she wasn't a baby anymore and that she didn't need a plug. Bo admitted that her having a plug wasn't really a big problem, but it was starting to make her teeth go crooked. She never graduated to a "bigger" plug, she has always had a 0-6 month plug, so needless to say it was way too small for her mouth. So I tried a couple of things to get her to give it up. I tried telling her we were going to give it as a present to my sister Laura for her new baby. She was really excited about doing this, (she really likes babies) but she just couldn't handle letting them go. So in the end, I just had to be the mean mom and take them away. Actually they more just disappeared... It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. She cried the first night without it, and for the next week she asked for it every night before bed. Her visits to my bedside increased during that week as well because she would wake up looking for it, and then come find me to help her find it. It would take some convincing to get her back in bed and asleep but she adjusted. Now, a more than a week later, we are back to sleeping normal and Boo is plug free!!

Help, If You Please...
I need some help, suggestions if you may. I'm feeling like Boo eats the same things day in and day out. I'm trying to find things that maybe you as parents or even if you aren't parents, feed your children. Bare in mind that Boo is allergic to milk. That includes cheese, yogurt, milk, ice cream,... you get the point. The one good thing is, that things with milk baked in them don't seem to bother her as much. For example, some crackers like Goldfish, have milk in them but she doesn't seem affected by them. Here are the couple of things that we repetitively feed her:
-Eggs *her favorite
-scrambled
-hard boiled
-Spaghettios
-Hot Dogs
-Spaghetti
-Oatmeal (When she's feeling like it)
-french fries/tater tots *she would eat these everyday but I try to limit her consumption
That's about it. So, any suggestions would be nice. I will help you out by crossing some of the very typical things that toddlers eat, off your list: She can't have grilled cheese sandwiches, cheese crisps, or mac 'n' cheese. So, think out side the box for me and let me know what you come up with. ☺
Can It Be??
So you are probably thinking, "Has she died? Maybe on vacation... Again?" I mean, that's what you should be thinking, it's not like me to go 10 days without posting! I guess I just needed a break... I wasn't feeling up to blogging. Weird, I know. But here I am to catch up on what's been going on. I am doing it in one post with small pictures to fit it all in better. Because the pictures are small, you can just click on them to view them larger.
While on our trip up north, we saw just how bad Boo's allergies could get. She had quite a break out after playing with some dogs, so much that her face swelled up, she had hives on her face, a rash up both arms, her lips and eye swelled up; it was just miserable. We had really been considering getting a dog ourselves, but now, we've obviously changed out minds. So, we decided to get some fish. It was quite a funny story actually. We went to the store and bought a glass fish bowl, the works to make it a home for the fish, and 2 Beta fish. We got them home, put them in the bowl only to find them sparring at each other. Apparently, you shouldn't put two male Beta fish in the same bowl. They fight until, I'm guessing, one would kill the other. We only left them together for a minute and then moved one to a cup until we could find something else to put it in. How was I supposed to know that male fish don't do well together?! It's not common knowledge you know! These are the first fish Bo or I have ever had, even back to when we were kids. So while in the valley the next week for a baby shower and doctors appointment, I went to pick up a new tank for the second fish. What I found was a double sided tank for both of them. It even has a little divider that you can remove to give the fish a chance to "flare" their fins. Apparently it's good for them to flare; maybe it's considered fish exercises. Boo just loves her fish! They've been named Bob and Dave. Bob is the red fish named by Boo, Dave is the blue/teal one named by her daddy. Everyday she drags a chair over to them and climbs up to get a look at them. She frequently asks "What does Bob say? What is Dave saying?" Who really knows what a fish says...
We have also been gardening lately. Boo really enjoys that, she loves to go outside with me and copy exactly what I'm doing, whether it's pulling weeds or watering, she wants to be doing it. While in the valley I bought her a set of her own gardening tools, the ones I use are a little too big for her. It's been windy so we haven't had a chance to go out and see how well she can use them yet.
Along with her gardening help she has discovered that when the water is on watering the lawn, it drips by the faucet. This makes quite a nice little puddle to play around in. She was learning how to make mud pies the other day, it was so cute I couldn't help but snap a couple pictures. But man was she dirty afterwards!
Conference was slightly eventful around here. On both Saturday and Sunday our TV didn't want to show the BYU channel, it showed the first session fine, but didn't work for the second session of each day. All of our other channels worked, but not the BYU channel. We were really puzzled by it. My friend Jordan joined us on Sunday in hopes of watching it on TV, but alas we had to just listen on the radio. Boo and Olivia had quite the time running around and playing. Boo was sad to have her go home, as she usually is, but I think it wore her out pretty good. I wasn't feeling good on Sunday after the second session, so I fell asleep as Bo was watching a movie and after a little while, in my subconscious, I noticed that I hadn't heard Boo for a while. I woke myself up and asked Bo if he knew what she was doing. A little concerned, he got up and went to check on her. He found her just like this in her room.
She was just completely out! It worried me a little because she didn't get a nap, and it was only 6:00, that's two hours before her normal bed time. I figured me changing her diaper would wake her up, but she wasn't even bothered by it. I picked her up, took her in the other room and changed her into her PJ's. She was finally woken by taking her clothes off, but was still sleepy. After she was dressed, we asked her what she wanted, and she said "I'm tired, I go to bed." And can you believe she did, and to top it off, she slept until 8:00 the next morning! Don't we all just have those days where 14 hours of sleep can make us feel so much better.
While in the valley I also bought her this cute Dora table. She loves it. I had been wanting to get a table for herfor a while now because she is always in need of something more her size. She has had quite a good time coloring, serving mommy and daddy drinks with her tea set, and setting up the table for feeding her dollies. We were watching morning cartoons yesterday, and I watched her set up this party for her babies. It was so cutely set that I grabbed my camera, and she actually went into a good smiling mood for me. I got quite a few good ones of her just being a cheesy as can be.
This morning was my morning to finish folding laundry. I'm usually really good about doing it on Monday and trying to get it all folded and put away that day. Of course, sometimes it doesn't work like that, we all know how that is, right? So, after 2 days of trying to finish I had set my mind to finishing it before noon today. Boo decided to help herself to the laundry while I was making her eggs for breakfast. Apparently she thinks she and daddy have the same size feet.
So what an uneventful week, and you wonder why I haven't been posting! I do have a few more things to post about but they can wait until next time. Until then, happy blogging!
