This & That

As you can see I am starting a trend, confusing posts with no pictures. Boring! So, this one is different. I will get straight to the details, and add some pictures. First of all, no jobs changes! But to my dismay, we have had a change of address. We were going to try to live in Willcox, but after very little luck on finding a place, we have decided to keep the apartment we already had lined up in Safford, live there for our 6 month lease and hopefully find a house to buy in that time. I know our situation seems to change everyday, but this one should be permanent... for now. We should be moving sometime next week whenever our apartment opens up and hopefully be on our way to some normal life for a little while. I will keep the news coming as it happens...
On a lighter note, Boo's birthday is next week. Can you believe she's 2 already! We are having a little party this weekend with cake and ice cream so I will post pictures then. Until then, here's a couple cute pictures of her.

Lack of Info

I guess in my excitement, I didn't really give any details about where we are going. As I said, Bo will be an Apprentice Lineman working for Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative. Click here to view their website. Their company covers a majority of Southeastern Arizona. Bo will be located out of Willcox, AZ for now. There is chance he could be moved at a later date, but for now that is where we will be living. He has to wait for his background check/physical/drug test to come back before he can start but they estimated that it would take about 2 weeks. So, that gives us a little time to find a place there and get settled. We will forward an address when we get moved and let everyone know how the move went... unless you want to come help... :)

News Flash, News Flash!!

We have breaking new, this just in... Well if our life isn't crazy enough, lets just make it more complicated. As you have read we are(well were) moving to Thatcher, AZ... But now, we're aren't. Why, you ask? Bo got a new job!! I know, I know, this has been a common occurrence lately, but hear me out. He got the word today, well just now, that he got hired on with Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative and as APPRENTICE LINEMAN! Ding, ding, ding, we have hit the jack pot! Well, this is all the news for now, but we are so excited! This is the happiest I have seen Bo in a couple months. Wish us luck! We'll keep the blog updated on our status, as far as we know he will start in about 2 weeks...

... And this is Walter Cronkite saying, 'And that's the way it was."

America's Got Talent

It started last summer, and had season 2 this summer, and if you missed it you should catch it next time around. On NBC, America's Got Talent can be horribly entertaining. Last year, Bo and I didn't agree with the winner, but that is the case in most TV competitions. But this year they had some really good acts. The show ended out it's summer run this past tuesday, and we completely agreed with the winner. His name is Terry Fator, and from the first time he preformed, we were hooked. Now, normally we don't get all caught up in the craze of reality TV, but this guy is way too entertaining. Here is one of my favorite preformances, well actually it was really hard to choose and I almost wanted to put them all on, so instead I chose one and included a link to see where you can find more if you want to watch them. I promise you won't be dissapointed!

Chicken Pox Update

I was thinking that I didn't really update on Boo's chicken pox. We are still not positive that they are chicken pox, but that's what we think they are. She ended up with about 20 pox, 0n only her arms and legs and they haven't really itched. This is why we were thinking that they weren't chicken pox, usually chicken pox are on the stomach, neck, underarm area, face, etc... And she doesn't have any in those places. We looked them up on the Internet and her spot looked just like the picture, and they acted like chicken pox. They have gradually scabbed over, so she is doing much better now.

As soon as I finished writing this, and posting the pictures, Boo came in and sat on my lap and lo and behold, she has another spot on her leg... So, we are completely puzzled!

Daddy's Little Girl

If you couldn't tell, I'm a bit bored ever since Bo left. So I try to find pictures in my file of things I think are good to write about. Just wait, once we move and I get my old computer back I will have all kinds of things (or people) to write about...

I was scrolling through my pictures and found some really cute ones of Boo and her daddy. She is definately a daddy's girl, and I don't think that Bo minds that at all. She has him wrapped around her finger and she uses it to her advantage, and I think he likes it. Bo has been gone since Sunday, and she's asked just about everyday where her daddy is. Here are some cute pictures of the two of them. Again, once I get back to my old computer, I will post more, I have a ton of cute pictures with those guys in them.

My mom has recently painted her kitchen, so to keep up with the improvements, I made her a new picture/note board. Here is her old one:

And her new one:

Mostly these picture are for my sister Laura, she wanted to see the finished product. But I am happy to show them off because I am please with how it turned out. Once we get settled, I am excited to do one for myself!

P.S. For all of her children, she needs new pictures of everyone to keep her board updated... *hint, hint*

Graduation and a Rodeo

Since I'm new to the world of blogging, I've decided that whenever I am bored or feel like I have nothing to write about I am going to write about something that happened to us either this past year or any time, I guess. So here it goes:

Bo graduated this past May, and he was so happy to be done with school (although he plans to go back and finish more). He got his certificate in Electric Utility Technology from Chandler-Gilbert Community College. In plain-mans terms, he went to Lineman school, and even plainer, he went to school to work on power lines. For 10 months straight he climbed a utility poles several times a day. He only ended up with one battle scar in his bicep. He slide down the pole in the first few weeks of class and I had to dig a 2-inch toothpick sized sliver out of his arm and some small ones out of his arm and stomach. He was the first one in his class to have the slivers removed, yet he wasn't the first to fall... The guys in his class were amazed that he had a wife who was willing to operate. Since finishing school, he has really missed climbing... I guess I shouldn't say "really", but he feels like he's quickly falling out of shape. In our crazy job situation, we hope to have him back to climbing electric poles in no time. Here is some pictures from his graduation in May and the Lineman rodeo he was in this past March.
Bo with his two instructors. Jace on the left
taught his electricity class, and Mark on the
right is the program director and instructor.
After graduation with BJ, Berniel, and Ivin.
Since Bo graduated on his birthday, we had
cake and ice cream to celebrated both occasions.

At the rodeo they did a series of competitions; they did a speed climb, they climbed up and took apart the cross arm, and the did complete cross arm construction. Boo had a grand ol' time running around and having me chase her.

Mosquito Pox

In an attempt to keep our blog updated, this may be short and mostly uninformative... But bare with me. Bo leaves for Safford tomorrow after church to start his job on Monday. Sadly, he is leaving Boo and I behind for a couple weeks... :( We have found a place to live, but since we aren't there yet, it could still possibly fall thru. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and hopefully we should be able to move in by the first part of September. So that means, Bo is going to be down there a couple weeks with out us. With no place to stay he has had to resort to staying in a motel until then. Aside from the cost, he's not happy to be living without a home cooked meal for a while. I don't say that I blame him! Boo and I will still be hanging out at Grandma & Grandpa's house for another couple weeks, so come on by and see us!

Well, just as a little side note, we think Boo may have chicken pox so beware visiting us unless you wanna have a chicken pox party! We should know by morning if it's chicken pox or just mosquito bites that just keep multiplying. Since we don't know what they are yet, maybe I should just make up a new name for them, how about Mosquito Pox, that way I cover both sides of the issue. Why are they called chicken pox anyways? I told Boo as I was taking her to bed, I said "Maybe you will wake up as a chicken tomorrow." She didn't seem too bothered by idea, we'll see how she feels about that in the morning.

Invasion of Privacy

We had a whirlwind trip to Safford yesterday for a physical/drug test for Bo's new job and to try to find a place to live. After a huge mix up with the time Bo was supposed to be there, a couple of rescheduling appointments, and then back to the original time he was supposed to be there, he finally got in. You can only imagine how mad he was at this point... Then to have to be poked and prodded... You just don't poke at an angry animal! Bo said this was the most intrusive physical he had ever done for a job. They did all kinds of tests; EKG, X-rays, blood test, even more, and then questioning about health matters of every kind. Needless to say, Bo was feeling invaded after 3 hours of test and questioning. As for me and my searches, we still don't have a place to live but a couple of hopeful situations. But seeing that he starts next Monday, we need to figure out something soon...

Moving Day

Well this is as good of a time as any to announce that we are moving; and we are hoping its a final move for a while. As history has shown, life keeps you on your toes so we could be anywhere next month. Bo has been offered a job with Phelps Dodge in Morenci Arizona. He will be driving a Haul Truck for the Mine. He is excited to finally have a job, and hopefully a good foot in the door to get on with their Lines division and transfer in 6 months to start into the lineman field. He says he doesn't want to be a truck driver forever but until then this works. Here is couple pictures I found of what he will be driving, I included the one with the guys in it to show how huge this truck is.

We are still searching for a place to live, as it's time for school to be starting it's hard to find a place to rent in a college town. Morenci doesn't have much in the way of renting because most of what they have is already full with other mine employees. We are looking in the Safford/Thatcher area but haven't had a luck thus far. We are excited to be settling again, I'm sure my parents can't wait to have their space back so it will be a breath of fresh air for all of us. Moving with a 2-year old can be a hazard, but I'm sure with a little help from the portable DVD player we might survive. Wish us luck, and we'll try to keep our blog updated with our crazy situation.

Silent Donuts

Funny things happen when you are a parent and half the fun of it is sharing it with everyone.

The biggest time that you need to worry about your child is when they are quiet, but sometimes when it's quiet you are just thankful for the silence that you tend to enjoy it instead of worrying. Yesterday while I was checking my email, silence fell upon the kitchen...

Boo found a box of donuts that her daddy had left out and went to town on them.

It's a good thing kids are cute!

Popularity and Camping

It seems as if we were pretty popular people over the weekend of July 28th. Our cell phones received lots of messages but we were happily unavailable. We went camping at our family's cabin at the Homestead. We had quite a good time camping! My parents, my sister and I went up a couple days early with the kids to be sure we got enough enjoyment out of camping. The rest of the family joined later.

We had a good time chasing kids around trying to keep them out of the mud.

Just like at the park Boo found a swing, and would've spent the whole time we were camping just "hangin".

Bo even showed off his climbing skills!

After all was said and done, we wished we would've had more time to sit around, relax, and spend time together.

For more pictures and a full explanation of what the Homestead is you can visit either my brother Evan's blog or my sister Laura's.

Name Change

After the counseling from some fellow bloggers I have decided to be a little more discretionary about our little sweetie. From here on out we will be referring to her as Boo. As you can see from pictures it's a pretty close match!

We figured that she was such a close look-alike that thats what she would be dress as for Halloween last year.
