Okay, aside from this coming weekend which I obviously haven't taken pictures of yet and my Washington trip I seem to be caught up. Yea! Since I'm going to the Homestead for the weekend, I won't be doing any blogging. But I'm going to dedicate next week to getting my Washington trip blogged about. I'm dying to show everyone the great pictures I took. Especially all you Twilight fans... :) Stay tuned!

Boo & Rex

Boo's favorite thing to say is "Hey Mom, take a picture of me!" Which lately has been asked when she's been holding Rex. Here's some various pictures of them together.
Okay, that last one isn't of her and Rex, I just thought I'd throw that in there to see if you're paying attention!

Chillin'

I love this picture. I don't know why.... He's just so content, and chubby!

Testing, Testing 1, 2, 3...

I'm playing with Blogger trying to figure out how to re-size pictures, so bare with me and here's a "taste" of what's to come next week! Are you intrigued??

La Push, First Beach, Washington

Playing in the Rain!

Boo has enjoyed monsoon season at our house. Bo hasn't so much - he gets called out a lot! The street in front of our house floods and makes big puddles. Boo likes to put on her rain boots and got play in the water. Twice in the same week it flooded, so she went out and played. Here are pictures from her fun.
She was enjoying finding objects to throw in the water. She discovered that pine cones float, but golf balls don't - she lost her golf ball which made her pretty sad.

She's dressed and ready to go!

I loved her socks!

Bo came home from work while she was playing and tried to splash her.

It looks like a lake out there.

This is the puddle in front of our front door.

Since then she's been eagerly awaiting the next storm! Hopefully she can get her new Oaki Wear boots before then, she's nearly grown out of these.

Ya know, "thing"!

The other day while in the backyard with Boo I saw a wasp flying around. I told Boo to be careful and watch out for wasps. While telling her that I watched the wasp land and noticed this "thing" hanging outside my kitchen window.
It's a wasps "nest" "home"? Ya know, "thing"! I've never seen anything like it. And bees and wasps freak me out, I'm terrified of getting stung so I had Boo come inside until Bo got home and could take care of it. He got home later that day and being the He-man that he is, he went out and bagged it and took it down the street to a trash can of a house that's empty. He missed catching two wasps which just hung around looking for their... home? ya know, "thing"!; and the next day Bo went out with a fly swatter to kill them for me. Yikes!

I told my friend Sally about it and she gave me this tid bit of information: Did you know that wasps actually bite you. Depending on the species of wasp, they can sting you, but most just bite. Crazy, huh?

Reunion '09

Bo and I decided to go up to the reunion this year. We haven't gone for a couple years, so we decided to go. Boo had been begging to go camping for a while now, and she was tickled pink to be there. We had a nice time visiting with cousins. Rex did great up there, he even slept better then ever. One night I got 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep!
We were sad to go home when the weekend was over. Good thing we're having another reunion this coming weekend, we'll get to spend more time up in the good weather.

Baby Blessing

On 4th of July we blessed Rex. We decided it would be more convenient to bless him on a Saturday and do a luncheon afterwards. In my attempt to make my blogging easier, I've put all the pictures in a slide show with captions. So here is the blessing and some pictures from us out visiting.

We did do some family pictures, here's Bo's family.

My family

And our family (Boo was being uncooperative)

And here's a couple pictures that just made me laugh. Here is Mindi with Boo and Mindi with Rex. They looked a lot alike.

And here is Me and Mallory a year ago and Me and Mallory now. Look how a year changed us!
Okay I have a LOT to catch up on... like 6 months worth so while I'm here at my mom's I'm going to try to get it all blogged. So, try to keep up! And be sure to comment.... I'm starting to think I don't have friends or that no one read my blog... *sniff* Anyway, try to keep up, I'm hoping to crank out some real posts!

Fun with a Cell Phone

I've been trying to clean the pictures off my cell phone. I take pictures with it when I don't have my camera with me. Here are some samples of my wanderings with my cell phone.

Artichokes are one of my favorite things to eat. If you've never tried one, do it! But have you ever seen an artichoke that has bloomed? Well, I have now. My friend Sarah grows them in her backyard and she let on bloom instead of picking it. Crazy huh!

The other day I was sitting, probably nursing cause that's what I'm always doing, but I hadn't heard from Boo for a while, so I called her to come into the living room, this is what I found.
She found a bag of chocolate and kept herself quite entertained. There's a girls after my own heart.

I was on my way back from the store the other day and it had just rained, off in the distance what 2 full rainbows, right on top of each other. It rare to see a full rainbow, but 2 full ones. I wished I would've had my regular camera so that I could've taken a full picture. Here's a couple shots of it.

We blessed Rex this past weekend, and I don't think I got a close up picture of him in his blessing outfit. It was Bo's blessing outfit and it almost didn't fit, Rex is a little chunk! I took this with my phone a couple weeks before the blessing, he wasn't too happy about it.

On my recent trip to Tucson I visited a couple places that I hadn't been in a while. Here is where Bo proposed to me.

Here is an ode to the time I lived in Tucson and the girls I lived with. This is called TD's. The girls I lived with know what I'm talking about. It was a funny joke we had, and it made me laugh when I drove by it.

Bo and I have been considering buying a new/bigger car. I saw this and thought "that would work!" :)

And of course what's a trip to Tucson without a trip to Eegee's?! Ranch Fries... Mmmm...

Boo and I went to the store the other day and got side tracked in the hat section. She loves taking pictures, and she loves trying on hats. They didn't have a great selection, so we made do with what they had.

On our way home from up north this last weekend, we stopped in the valley to visit with Mal since she was in town. (I have more pictures on my camera, I will post soon... hopefully soon) She was demonstrating how headbands work. She makes them with interchangeable flowers. Her baby wasn't willing to hold still for us, so Rex was used for the job. He cooperated for a minute or two but later screamed at us. He looks so cute, doesn't he?
This is a picture to keep for future girlfriends! :)

There's more pictures on my phone, I just haven't had enough time to take them all off. I'll do another cell phone post when I get the time to take more pictures off!

I'm still here... sorta...

"Hi, you're reached Kay's blog. I'm not here right now, but if you would please leave your name and a brief (or long) message after the post, I'll get back to blogging as soon as I can. Thanks! Have a nice day!!"

Wow. I've been "away" for a while now... Sorry. I'm sure you understand, right? I have a lot to update on, and actually thought I'd have time right now to do so, but Rex just woke up and he's impatiently waiting for me to finish this. So I'll leave you with this.

The best big sister in the world.

And Rex. "Look, I can hold my head up now!"

I'll be back to the world of blogging soon, I hope. I have tons to blog about and not enough time in the day where Rex doesn't demand my constant attention. Then there's my 3-year old who wants attention, let's not even get started on that one... :) Be back soon!
