...And They Lived Happily Ever After!

In honor of yesterday, February 22nd, I thought I would grace you with a story. Not a very well written one, but give me a break, I'm not a writer!!

Once upon a time in a far away land (Snowflake), a King & Queen had - well rather adopted, a little prince. And they were so happy. About a year later, in a kingdom not so far away (Phoenix) another King & Queen had a sweet little princess. Both the prince and princess grew up very happy. He liked books, and she liked puppies. Both the prince and the princess went through awkward phases, but some how survived. They went to the finest finishing schools where they were introduced by a cousin of the prince. They became fast friends. He asked her on their first date to a school dance, where she stupidly took a friend (no offense Shawna), but she had a great time dancing the night away. They spent a couple wonderful years socializing and eventually finished school. The prince was then called on the most noble of "missions" and left the princess for 2 years. While he was gone, she did crazy things, but thought about him everyday. He even did some crazy things while he was gone. When he returned they again were stuck like glue. The princess decided to go to the temple, so the prince accompanied her there. It was a great experience, one of the best in her life. She was glad the prince was with her, it was there she knew she wanted to spend forever with the prince. Two weeks later the prince decided it was time to propose [insert picture of Bo proposing that I can't seem to find... I'm still looking for it, and am very confused at where I put it!] And what was her answer? "You already know the answer!" ...He didn't think that was a clear enough answer, so she said "YES!" With the help of the princes talented aunts and both mother's, the queens, the engagement pictures were taken, the dress was bought, and the wedding was planned in no time. On February 22, 2003 the prince and princess were married in the most magical of all places (no, not Disneyland!), and sealed for time and all eternity. That same night they had the grandest of balls where everyone in the land attended to honor the prince and princess. It was a wonderful day! And they lived happily ever after... well at least so far - 6 years later! ☺

Happy Anniversary to us! Thanks for a great 6 years babe! I can't wait for the rest of forever to be with you!

A Photo Opportunity

I hear from the other room:

Boo: "Hey Mom! Come here!"
Me: "Okay..., why?"
Boo: "Just come here, I'm being funny."
Me: "Okay, just a minute..." I was in the middle of something
Boo: "Can you just come and take a picture of me? Please?"
Me: "Okay, I'm coming."

I grab my camera, and here's what I took a picture of:
Her response: "Look Mom, I'm being a bridge!" Where does she come up with this stuff??

Big Sister Helper

With much prodding from Boo we have finally put up the crib. Here is a picture from when we put up the crib before Boo was born, do you want to guess how far along I am in this picture?
Wouldn't you believe, I think I'm only about 31 or 32 weeks in this picture (around 8 months). We may have put up the crib a little earlier with this baby, but I'm not too far behind that! I'm 26 weeks (almost 7 months), and am no where near being that big! I'll admit, it's a really bad picture, and I have pictures from farther along where I don't look as big, but still, I look HUGE! It's nice to feel that I haven't gained that much weight so far.

Anyway, Boo has been begging to put up the crib for weeks now, since she learned that her and baby brother will be sharing a room. Bo had the day off yesterday, so we decided to take advantage of him being home and put up the crib.
Boo had a great time helping. She was excited to pick where the crib was going to go in her room. And she is now constantly talking about when baby brother gets here.
She was a good sport in helping, she held the screws and assisted in holding things that needed to be held. She would say "I'll be sitting here on my bed, if you need help again, you just ask and I'll help". She's going to be a big helper when baby brother actually does get here!

Pictionary Moments

I am continually amazed at Boo's artistic abilities. I have none, so the fact that she loves to draw and is pretty good at it, well at least in my "proud-parent-opinion", amazes me. She gets her artistic abilities from both her grandma's. Here is her latest masterpiece. Can you tell what is it?
Oh come on! It's a picture of me! Can't you see the likeness? The little white lines in my middle is a picture of baby brother.

Here is one she drew of herself.

And here is the one she drew of her daddy. (I don't think he got any arms drawn, but at least it looks like she thinks he's skinny!)

In looking at them, her perception amazes me too. I'm sure there's something psychological about the size of the characters she draws, but I was the largest, followed by her and then her daddy was the smallest. Does that mean she's calling me the fattest?...
