Wanted: Wrappers (and not the music kind)
Job: Temporary (unless you want to live with us forever...)
Pay: None. Just the satisfaction of knowing you helped us in our time of need... okay, okay, we might give you some of the finished product. But only after all the wrapping is done...
Qualifications needed: None really. As long as you wrap more than you eat. Oh, and you have to be older than 5 since it seems that our 4 year old is guilty of stealing more than helping.
It's that time of year again, Caramel time at the Lee house. So speak now of forever hold your peace if you want some!

Pictures
I've kind of spaced that I haven't posted in a while. November was a blur in our house. I have a bunch of pictures that needs to be posted and not enough time to do it all. We'll see when I actually get around to it. But in the mean time, I wanted to quickly post the link to our "family pictures" we took recently. Our friend Zane was gracious enough to take our picture, and we had a lot of fun doing it. Click here to see them. Be sure to leave a comment for Zane with how much you love them, because I know you'll have something to say about them!

Pumpkin Pickin'
The first weekend of October we went out to Apple Annie's to go pick a pumpkin. It's was a lot of fun, a little hot that day, but fun.
On our adventure I learned that pumpkins start out green.
Did you know that? I didn't.
Bo and Boo had a good time looking around for the perfect pumpkin.
Rex and I hung out and took pictures.
They finally found the perfect pumpkin.
Isn't it a beauty?
Isn't Rex cute in his hat? I love that boys wear hats, I could never convince Boo to wear hats.
Rex was all tuckered out after our trip.
This is my favorite picture of the day.

Fun With a Flat Iron
I have such a patient husband. He puts up with a lot from me. And he's a good sport. He's been growing out his hair and his mustache/goatee. The mustache/goatee, he is growing out for Zane and an up-coming photo shoot, but the hair is a whole other story. I have no idea really. He said to me once that it's a mid-life crisis. But it's getting long. And since he has curly hair it doesn't usually show the extent of the length although he gets a pretty good afro going most days. So I got this brilliant idea one day. "I should straighten it!" I thought to myself. I mentioned my brilliant idea to him and he just blew me off. But wasn't going to give up. It took about a month of convincing (and growing longer in the process) to let me take my straight iron to it. We figured it's about 6 inches long, maybe more, which doesn't seem that long, but on a guy - it is.
He's always a good sport to let me take pictures of whatever crazy thing we happen to be doing. And usually will make a goofy face for me.
I love my husband! Bo, you are such a good sport, and I love the fun and insanity you bring to my life!

*Don't you think he looks like one of the three stooges? Shemp maybe??

Up, Up, and Away!
Look! It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a... Sleeping Rex?
Unlike Boo, Rex can fall asleep just about anywhere. When Boo was this age she had to be wrapped up with a plug in order to sleep. Rex on the other hand doesn't like being wrapped and we still can't convince him of the whole plug idea (even though he has one in the picture - don't be deceived, he dislikes them very much). The picture was just too cute to pass up!

Family Day
Once a year, Bo's company has a Family Day where pay for a trip to Tucson to stay over night and for you and your family to attend a fun activity. The first year we were here we went to Old Tucson Studios; it was a lot of fun. This year we had a couple choices on entertainment. We chose to do Funtastics for Boo's sake. She really had a good time. They had a little children's section with kid rides.
Merry-Go-Round
They had a bounce castle that I didn't get any pictures of and a couple other little things. She had a good time trying all the rides out, but I think her favorite this was the goofy golfing. She hasn't stopped talking about it since and frequently asks if we can go back sometime.
Golfing with "extra weight" on the front is harder than it looks!
Boo was so proud of her yellow ball.
This was a first for Bo, he's not much of a golfer but he did enjoy goofy golfing. Enough so that I might get him to go again some time. (Maybe next time we'll get a sitter for the baby)
Boo tried her hardest. She actually did pretty good!
A little stop on the way for a photo-op and to get out of the sun, it was a hot day!

Pool Party
9/7 - Boo's 4th birthday
Boo had a great birthday this year. She missed out on going to the public pool this summer, so she wanted to have a swim party. Her favorite was the slip and slide.
She had 3 friends come, and she had a blast playing with them. She wishing her birthday would come again this year!

Goodbye Washington!
Monday morning Laura took us to the airport and we flew back home and back to reality. It was a nice break, and a wonderful trip but I'm sure Laura was ready for us to go so she could get back to normal life without visitors. Bo was also glad to see us return to reality, he missed us a lot!
Thank you Laura & John for letting us come disrupt your life for while, and if it were up to Boo we would be moving there permanently!
Seriously, she mentions Washington/Seattle at least once a week asking when we can go back. Luckily we're planning a trip there next summer so I have something to tell her that she can look forward to, but I think in telling her it's just made her ask about it more.
I was going through my Washington pictures, and realized I forgot the couple of pictures I took with my cell phone, so here is Washington via my phone. (I took quite a few more than this, but I think they got erased along the way.)
If you've been following my posts, these pictures shouldn't need explaining.
*Phew* There you have it folks - our trip to Washington - in a nutshell. I'm finished! Hooray! And just in time too, today is the 6-month anniversary of us flying home from Washington! So until next year, we'll just keep missing Washington, the great weather, the trees, our wonderful family up there and the beach! Especially the beach for Boo.

Sunday the 19th
*Sunday was the only day I didn't keep a journal of - so I'm just reciting this from my hazy pregnant memories...*
We tried to get some group shots of all the kids in their sunday clothes. Here's the best we could come up with - at least they are all looking forward.
After church we decided to make one last trip to the beach before we were flying out the next day. Boo didn't need convincing to go to "crab beach" again. Evan and Sue run a clothing company that produces outdoor clothing for kids - check it out here. They had been doing some research into fishing waders for kids and Boo got to try out one of them. She loved it. I think she could've stayed playing in the waders all day.
We also went to "sand dollar beach" again to feed the birds one last time, and play in the sand. Boo had a great time playing in the sand, it's probably one of her most favorite things to do. Here's a group shot of the whole gang there.
Then it was back to Laura's house to start packing up. Evan and Sue went home that night. Here's a picture of just the 4 siblings. I don't know why we didn't have Mom in the picture, but as chance would have it - if you look closely, she is!
